Are people attracted to the way people look, or because the way people look represents what genitals the person has. Like if in a society all boys dressed the way girls dresses now, and oppopsite. would gay men be attracted to other men because dressing like a girl now represents having a penis?

How someone dresses doesn’t really have much to do w/ it. As for initial attraction, it might, but its all up to the individual: some gay boys like drag queens, others like very manly looking guys, and so on and so forth. To answer your example, no, gay men probably wouldn’t be attracted to men who dress like women in that case. At the end of the day, it comes down to the other person and their actual gender, not so much their clothing.
