I started seeing this male nurse/ex bodybuilder who on our first meeting, I sensed that he was bisexual. He later confesses that he strips for men but is straight… but gives males massages for money. Obviously he is by but why would he lie? I told him I got the first impression that he was gay and he looked totally hurt.

The only reason I can think is that some people are uncomfortable with identifying as an LGBTQ, for various reasons, so they try and assimilate.

The reason for his deception is clear. He’s in the business of posing as a straight man in order to fulfill gullible gay men’s desperate fantasies of sexual contact with an otherwise unattainable partner. His livelihood depends entirely on his ability to convincingly create the illusion that he is someone other than the person he really is. In order to make money, he routinely hides behind a curtain of deceit. When you pulled back that curtain and exposed the man he really is, he felt terribly threatened; and you saw the resulting pain and fear written all over his face. Just like the Wizard of Oz, he would strongly prefer it if you and everyone else would “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain” and allow him to continue his lucrative illusion. It would behoove you to remember that the g-string in which he strips is not exactly stuffed with good intentions. If you decide to pursue a relationship with this guy, you can count on being asked to swallow more than just one mouthful of . . . pure humbuggery. I wish you fair winds and following seas.
