Last night me and my friend, who is also a gay man, were having a few drinks in his room just talking about anything and everything; as the night drew on he began getting friendlier and we kissed, quite a lot and I ended up staying the night with him. This night of passion, for the lack of a better word, has left me confused; he is the first gay person I’ve loved and I’ve never kissed anyone in such a way and I don’t know how to proceed after last nights events. What do you suggest, and do you think he may like/love me back or was this just an alcohol fueled one night stand. We have so much in common but I’m still at a loss, due to my lack of experience, as to what to do, or if this means I have a chance at a relationship with him.

I would talk to him. You can't ignore it, it would just be more awkward and, anyway, he is likely to be feeling the same. Keep your friendship intact by maintaining an open dialogue. It sounds like it was more than an alcohol induced interlude, as you have genuine feelings for him, and I assume he for you. But, to know for sure you must talk to him. The easiest way is to make a plan to get together, and then bring it up, preferably before you two start to imbibe.
