Gay Question and Answer Archive

I have been in a gay relationship for ten years. Both of us are in our early 30s. Our sex life was great, both versatile. As of late, my partner does not want me to top him. He hasn’t said it out loud but the signs are there. He does top me. Recently, he complains of not feeling well close to bed time. When I try to top him he has excuses. This has made me uncomfortable and our sex life has changed drastically. We now go on for weeks without having sex. Prior, we used to have sex 3-4 times a week. Should I be worried or just let him be. It is bothering me and I don’t know how to talk to him about it.

Thanks for the question. I think you should talk to him. Find the appropriate time and ease into a gentle conversation. It could be just his changing preference, a health issue, or something else. A talk is definitely in order.
