Are all gay dudes supposed to speak and act in the same way. I am 15 years old and my boyfriend acts in the for lack of a better word “queenie” way and so have the few gay dudes at the school. I am slowly coming out but when I have told people they ask me, “Are You sure?” and also telling me that they don’t think I am gay. Am I supposed to act in a certain way?

Gay men speak and act in all different ways, so no, you don’t have to "act queenie" when you come out. When you find out you are gay and start to explore gay life, you will find out that there are many many types of gay men. Some guys have a very strong feminine side, while others don’t. There is absolutely nothing that you need to do or change about yourself to "act" a certain way to be gay. Just be you.

No, you don't have to act a certain way. Gay men don't have a certain way to act. Some are masculine. Some are feminine. People usually think that gay men act feminine because that's what they mostly see but you don't have to live up to that stereotype. There are many stereotypes out there but they're not all true.
