Well, most possibly he is gay/bi. He may just not want to share it publicly yet.
As well you can understand; straight, gay or bi are just labels which we give to people… I am 20 years old, I can say that I don’t feel certain of being bi or gay… I just feel like for beauty that comes inside as it comes from the way that one stares at you.
Maybe your friend is close but not that close… even if he gets excited with gay porn it doesn’t mean he will be gay… as a man I can say that sex is every time sex and erections. The main thing here is if one day he will share that idea of taking you to his bed or heart.
