Because women aren’t like men. When two men break up, they see it- usually- as losing a battle, or failing. That makes them become angry and bitter about it, therefore not remaining friends.
When two women break up, they see it as ending a problem, and also because women have been long-taught to keep negative emotions inside, they don’t let their emotions get in the way of hanging out with someone that was such a big part of their life, for so long.
I’ve stayed friends with all of my exes, except one, who gets furious when I’m around other guys. (I used to date guys, when I was younger. He doesn’t get that I’m more one-of-the-guys now, haha!)
